Imagination Station In January

In case you’ve missed it-winter has hit Toledo. So if you’re looking for something to do with the family, that doesn’t involve your toes going numb, Imagination Station has you covered. With so many hands-on activities, fun educational exhibits, and special events, you’re bound to find something new with every visit. You can find all of the events on the Macaroni Kid Toledo Calendar, and here’s a quick list of what’s going on in January:

Star Wars Weekend: Visit Imagination Station January 6 and 7 for the chance to meet the 501st Legion good guys and the Rebel Legion bad guys from the original Star Wars films. Bring your camera to snap a photo with your favorite characters from 11am – 4pm on Saturday and Noon – 5pm on Sunday.

DinoSnore Sleepover: Bring your sleeping bag and experience an unforgettable sleepover at Imagination Station! Hang out with a T. Rex all night long and find out if a Velociraptor snores during a sleepover with the dinosaurs from 5:30pm Saturday, January 6 through 11:30am Sunday, January 7. Pre-registration and an additional fee are required for the DinoSnore Sleepover. Call 419.244.2674 for details and to RSVP.

Dinosaurs Around the World: Don’t miss your chance to become a globe-trotting explorer and discover the amazing diversity of prehistoric creatures during the Age of Dinosaurs. The traveling exhibit goes extinct January 15. An additional ticket purchase is required for this limited-engagement exhibit. Visit imaginationstationtoledo.org for details.

Circuit Block Tinkering: Budding electricians will light up at the chance to use special battery-powered building blocks containing motors, lights, buzzers and more to design a circuit each day in January.

Intro to Programming Think Tank Series Workshop: Every weekend in January, participants will build upon skills learned in the previous weekend’s workshop to program, design and create interactive virtual worlds, and games and activities using Scratch Programming, Makey-Makey Kits, LEGO® Robotics Kits and LEGO® Mindstorm Kits.
