Five Ways To Keep The Kids Busy This Winter Break

It's coming! Those magical 2 weeks after Christmas that the kiddos are home.... sure, they have new toys and gadgets, but it's inevitable that you'll hear, "There's nothing to do...." Yes-there is PLENTY to do! Here's 10 things going on in Toledo for families during winter break:

Zoo camps

Children ages five to 12 will experience non-stop fun with exciting exhibit tours, amazing animal visitors, cool crafts and goofy games. All camps run 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Imagination Station 

WIth enough activities to fill an entire day, Imagination Station is a perfect choice for keeping the kiddos busy, learning, and screen-free! The Dinosaurs Around The World Exhibit is "going extinct" on January 15, so winter break is the perfect time to check it out one last time, or for the first time.  Science Story Times, Little Scientist Workshops, and Tinkering Activities are sure to keep little scientists busy and engaged.  Don't miss the New Year's Eve Eve Celebration, on December 30, and if you're feeling adventerous, take the kids to DinoSnore Sleepover!

Storytimes

From coffee shops to book stores, Imagination Station to Toledo Lucas County Public Library, there's a stroytime every day of the week.

All of the branches of The Toledo Lucas County Library have events during winter break-including a Frozen Party at the Main Library on December 27.
Check out the calendar of library events, there's something for every age.


Kid's Winter Workshop at Board and Brush

Board and Brush Sylvania provides all of the supplies and will walk kids through the process of making a project of their own.  This special workshop for little ones will have a $25 option and a $35 option, and will take up to 2 hours to create.  Sign up here before it sells out.


Harlem Globetrotters

The world famous Harlem Globetrotters are coming to Toledo on December 30.  Tickets are on sale for this unforgettable basketball artistry event.
