Keep Your Toddler Active

5 Low-Cost Programs Just For Little Ones

By Ann Baisden September 17, 2017

Staying active is important at any age, from toddler to senior citizen. When the temperatures drop in Toledo, your little ones will still have plenty of energy to burn. Here's 4 low cost (or free!) classes and programs for parents and their little ones:

*Toledo Metroparks hosts Tales and Trails every other Thursday at the Metroparks Hall at Wildwood Preserve.  Bring your preschooler or toddler to enjoy story time, a nature walk, and a craft to take home.  There is a different theme for each session.  The sessions are free, but you do need to register your little one, (do so here).

*Exceleration Gymnastics offers a variety of classes for kids at any age. Their Meerkats class is a tuition free* class, meant for parents and their babies aged 4 months up to walking. In these 30 minutes sessions, little ones get to develop their fine and gross motor skills. Babies (and parents) get to socialize as well as work on sitting, standing, crawling and walking. When the little tots are ready, they can move on to the next level: Explorers.

Check out their website to get more information on the other classes Exceleration Gymnastics offers, and be sure to tell them you heard about them through Macaroni Kid Toledo!
